SWAT 3: Close Quarters Battle boasts gorgeous 3-D graphics (a 3-D accelerator card is supported but not required), with lifelike characters and amazingly detailed real-world locations, such as the Los Angeles Convention Center and the LAX airport control tower. Players assume command of a five-man L.A.P.D. SWAT team across 16 diverse missions. As Element Leader, you control nearly all aspects of the mission, which can include rescuing hostages to ambushing criminal suspects. Most mission decisions rely on split-second thinking. Should you order the suspect to drop his weapon or are you in imminent danger from the other suspect hiding in the room? SWAT 3's high-pressure environment creates an engaging and satisfying experience.
